I’m so happy that I have something that the time can not erase; man can not steal; distance can not take away; and my mistakes can not decrease. That’s the love of the Lord.

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:7–8 //

God gave the most costly sacrifice to secure our salvation—his very own, precious Son. And Jesus demonstrated his love as well, through his willingness to be the perfect sacrifice. He died so that we might live. If you ever doubt God’s love, ask yourself this question: Who do I love enough to give up my only child for? Who would I die for so that he or she might live? Are you beginning to get a sense of the greatness of God’s love for you?

When you pray, your prayers are heard by the same God who answered Moses’ prayer for water in the desert, the God who gave Abraham and his barren wife a son, and the God who made the slave Joseph second in power only to Pharaoh.

When God made Eve from Adam’s rib He was telling Adam, “This is My girl. Love her as you love yourself. When you see her in the flesh, don’t identify her as another body, but as one with yourself. As your own. So love her as you would love your own body. Give yourself to her. I created her in My image and likeness just as I created you in My image and likeness.”

Kinda like how Jesus loves His body, the church. He gave Himself to us. It’s a covenant relationship.
